CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST for Hill Air Force Base, Utah

75 Medical Group, Main Mental Health Clinic Outpatient Therapy

  • Full-time, Civilian Contractor position
  • M-F, no weekends, no Federal holidays
  • Can be licensed in any state!

The Clinical Psychologist in the Mental Health Clinic provides outpatient behavioral health care to active duty military members including counseling, mental health assessment, and treatment services, such as individual and group psychotherapy and education.

This position is mostly therapy with occasional assessments. Approx 4-6 sessions/day

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Philosophy degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychology Association (APA) accredited psychology program.
  • Must have an American Psychology Association (APA) approved Internship
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • Must demonstrate computer competency
  • Must hold an active, unrestricted license to practice in any state

Core Duties:

  • Clinical/Counseling Psychology. Responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidenced-based therapies, and psychological testing/psych diagnostic testing, in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders.
  • Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
  • Assist in the rehabilitation of patients.
  • As appropriate, conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources.
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
  • Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges. 
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and current notes for all patients seen, as appropriate, and produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment according to military and clinic policies.

Hours:

Monday thru Friday, 40 hours per week

7:30am-4:30pm

No call, No Federal Holidays
